Douglas Bertram

Douglas studied French horn and piano at the Royal College of Music in London, and went on to play horn in the Reid Orchestra and the semi-professional orchestra run by Edinburgh University. Douglas was also the founder of the Edinburgh Wind Quartet giving concerts from Lerwick to Newton Stewart. After around 25 years of presenting his Classics for Pleasure programme on a Thursday night, Douglas retired from broadcasting in April 2017.
